Tweetbot 5 for Twitter App Reviews

It really is so much better than a lot of other options out there, its my favorite RSS reader replacement. But it fails to link to iOS apps when clicking on a link. It always opens links (such as the NY Times, LA Times, and The New Yorker) in the browser vice the iOS app. If there were a way to get it to open in an app vice the browser, it would be perfect.

No longer updates timeline, just an error message blaming Twitter when it is the app that doesnt work. Have to close it completely and re-launch each and every time. Now this stupid app wont even post a tweet. Everything just times out. What a piece of crap. Total piece of crap. Another forgotten Tapbots project. RIP. Says UPDATE but clicking doesnt do anything. Cant even download the new update. How sad. Used to work. Now wants me to sign back in to Twitter and fails to ever contact Twitter. No response from @tapbots. What a piece of crap.

Unfortunately, the app does not have VO support, nor does it allow you to add alt text to images. Very disappointing.

No poll support. No group dm suppprt. Not getting notifications for anything. Ill been a supporter of this app for a long time now but its missing a few features the Twitter app has which is not acceptable.

This app used to be good. The lack of support for the latest features Twitter offers and lack of support for tweeting in RTL languages making it doesnt deserve the price they set. The worst of which, upgrading to the latest version is not free! Not recommended at all.

I NEED twitlonger!! Lol. TweetCaster allows for tweets longer than min characters so we can comment on our retweets. If it had that it would be perfect. I paid less for it. Wouldnt pay 9.99.

Tapbots attention to detail is so welcome. I cant believe how much I use this app. Every once in a while I try the official Twitter app, then come back to Tweetbot. One thing I hope they support better at some point is greater direct message support, and multiple person DMs. Thanks for making such a great App!

Best way to look at Twitter, great design + awesome features.

I continue to enjoy tapping around this app to interact with Twitter. Simple as that. It works really well.

I tried just about every other Twitter app available before this one. Tweetbot is stupid expensive, but unfortunately the only app that seems to be out there with a decent UI and features that should come standard.

i love that i can mute keywords and hashtags unlike the official twitter app, but it takes too many clicks to fav or reply to a tweet, to go to someones profile, to search. an extra click or two doesnt seem like much but this is the world we live in now. i need to get what im looking for as soon as i can and i cant be clickin around for it. also you cant edit pictures which is also sorta annoying.

Why why why? Why only 10 trending topics? Increase the number please!

Media links need to be brought back .. I love Tweetbot & pretty much I bought every single version .. Ive always enjoyed the helpful & professional tech support ,but recently I contacted them multiple times yet never heard back including a request to give me the option to show the links of media so that I dont keep on going to safari when I accidentally think that a specific video is twitter based ( I know that if I switched to large thumbnail I would get the WWW sign but I prefer small thumbnail and it gets frustrating as I mentioned)

Vastly better than Twitters app.

Ive been wanting user notes (so I can remember how/why I followed someone, information about them, etc.) for so long. THANKS for adding this feature! Id also like the ability to share a user (just like sharing a tweet) to be able to save/send this new notes information.

The app retains the polished and clean interface that came with Tweetbot 3, with its signature tweet streaming feature and customizable bottom tabs. There are also some new features, notably the support for Safari view controller, the reason being the links from tweets can now be viewed native in Safari with ad-blocking functionalities if you have one installed, and the pages also load that much faster because of Safaris nitro JavaScript engine. The new 3D Touch features are fantastic additions - I particularly enjoy being able to peek into tweets and see replies, likes, RTs. I also wanted to highlight how awesome the sync between the iOS app and Mac app is. I can literally read my timeline on the phone sitting on the toilet bowl and pick up where I left off at my desk on my Mac afterwards.

Best twitter app ever. Better with every update. Worth all the money.

I must say, as someone who constantly struggles from switching between both Tweetbot and Twitter. I really have to give props to tapbots for keeping up with Twitters ever changing API...when Twitter actually updates it is another question. Things I would like to see in the next update but understand its up to Twitter and their API. • Viewing and making Polls via Tweetbot - I keep jumping back and forth to see or create and manage polls that I run and take part in. Having them in Tweetbot would rule. • Group messages in direct messages. - Dont know if this is possible but this also drags me over to Twitters native app. • Adding photos/gifs in direct messages. - Again, Im assuming it due to Twitters API, but this would be great as well. Things Tapbots should add/change in their next update. • Give us the ability to accent color hashtags on the app. Too many times whether Im in day or night theme the grey color used in the hashtag should be an accent color that can help it stand out more. Maybe its just me, but I feel this would be a great addition to the app. Allow us to customize this accent color. Give us full color pallet or from pre-made selection. • Autoplay of gif/video content. No too sure if its because of Twitters API but I would save my a tap to load a gif/video from loading in the time stream. Just something to think about. • Give us a third customizable tab please! - I would like to customize a third tab, so that i can add more custom convience to the Tweetbot app. Trust me it would rock! • Search/Trends one app pane - Having the nearby tweets/searches and saved searches is great, but what I would think would make this window pane better? Having trends in the same screen! I just think it would serve the app better. I have no idea on what to do with the people section you have in that part of the app but I can admit to not really using it. All in all a great app and love its features. Excited on what new things are coming down the pipeline for this apps future.
