Tweetbot 5 for Twitter App Reviews

I’ve used Tweetbot from early versions and have thought it was the best Twitter app for iOS/Mac. It may still be, but I’m starting to look elsewhere. 1) Synching just doesn’t work consistently. If you are a multi-device heavy user, this is a big problem. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. But never consistently enough to be reliable. 2) Support doesn’t seem to exist. Tweets unanswered after weeks (irony noted). Emails unanswered after weeks. Sad.

I was super psyked to see this apps release and bought it right away. Unfortunately, as a blind user, Im unable to use the app as it is not accessible with VoiceOver. For whatever reason, the timestamps read but not the actual tweets. Im not requesting a refund as Im hoping accessibility will improve. So, if you dont need accessibility, the app is awesome. If you do though, you may need to find an aalternative for now.

The lack of polls support and better activity alerts really drag this beautiful app down. Just functionally not up to snuff with Twitters own app.

Tapbots attention to detail is so welcome. I cant believe how much I use this app. Every once in a while I try the official Twitter app, then come back to Tweetbot. One thing I hope they support better at some point is greater direct message support, gifs, and multiple person DMs. Thanks for making such a great App!

On the Apple Watch version there needs to be a way you can see your timeline. Isnt that the point of having the app on the watch?

Still broke. Either fix the repeated tweet issue or tell us how to avoid it. Original review How many times do I need to see the same tweets? Well, since the sync update for this app, how about 3 times a day. I scroll through all the tweets so all are read. I then re-open the app and I am brought back to entire string of tweets that I just read. I scroll through all the tweets AGAIN so all are read (for a second time) And in a few minutes since Im watching a football game, I open the app and tada, I have to look at the same tweets again. The same tweets!!!! This has happened 3 times today. I have tried to uninstall and download but the problem exists. iPhone 6s. Cant believe that I am the only person with this issue??!!!

Update: Now makes me login all over again every few minutes. Useless JUNK. Wish I hadnt wasted my money, DONT waste yours! Ive been using this app for Twitter solely for years, on all my Apple devices. However, recently the app has moments where it does not stream at all, hangs and stays frozen even after exiting and reopening the app. This can last up to five minutes. It is not a memory problem, as my device has plenty of empty space, and its the most recent iPod model so it isnt an "older machine". Im resetting the cached data to try and see if that helps, but Ive never had to do that before, not even with the previous version of the app. Its a very disappointing problem to have with a mainstay app.

Although its pretty thorough with customization/user friendliness, it could use much more customization options such as the ability to make the long left swipe be set to retweet instead of reply. Otherwise, incredible app even for $10.

In its younger years this was a premier Twitter app. It has since declined and become one of the worst. They are terribly slow to update with changing Twitter features. For example there is now way to create or even vote in Twitter polls. Ive been using this app for years and I have finally gotten tired of constantly being behind my friends in regard to features. To top it all off this is a PAID app. Despicable.
